2017 Columbia Valley Spectrum Red Blend

Filled with focused aromas of cherry, red currant, eucalyptus with a touch of black tea, this wine is very complex and intriguing on the nose. Layered flavors of red fruits, black cherry, a slight hint of huckleberry and chocolate lead into a finish that is balanced alongside fine integrated tannins with a touch of white pepper and dried cherry.


52% Mourvèdre, 22% Malbec, 15% Carménère, 6% Merlot, 5% Cab Sauvignon


We created our proprietary blend Spectrum to reflect our new solar project at the winery and to bring to light unique and interesting blends. The vineyard and varietals selected for the 2017 Spectrum were havested from early September to early November providing a nice selecton of mature fruit.  We used different fermention process on the varietals in this blend with the Nine Canyon,Cab Franc, Syrah, Cinsault, and Cabernet in stainless steel uprights, Mouverdere in rotary, and Champoux Cab Franc and Carmenere in the pump-under fermentors with PDM yeast used on all lots.  100% malolactic fermentation was completed in neutral 59 gallon French Oak barrels.  The wine was then aged for 26 months in 2nd (40%) and 3rd (60%) use French Oak barrels.
